ARK is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization staffed soley by volunteers. (Your contributions are tax-deductible.) We are devoted to rescuing dogs and cats from shelters and to being a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. We believe spaying and neutering family pets is the primary way to reduce the number of homeless animals. ARK rescues and places a variety of breeds of dogs and cats. Please visit ARK's PETFINDER site to see our available animals who need loving, permanent homes! Adoptions are limited to the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex. ARK is always looking for competent, trustworthy, and responsible foster homes. These volunteers care for our dogs and cats until a forever family adopts them. If you would like to be a foster home, please complete this application and submit it to us. 
The Legend of the Starfish is a favorite among
rescuers. Please check our suggestions if you are considering relinquishing your cherished pet. Often times, there are alternatives available if you will just take the time to search.
